BikeSol is an environmentally friendly project located at the heart of Erbil, along the 120-meter ring road. This innovative initiative features a solar-powered covered biking path situated in the median between the two sides of the road.
When fully implemented, this 37-kilometer project can generate an impressive 60MW of solar power. BikeSol promotes eco-friendly transportation and harnesses renewable energy to create a sustainable urban infrastructure. By integrating solar panels into the biking path, this project provides a shaded, comfortable environment for cyclists while contributing to the reduction of carbon emissions and enhancing the city’s green footprint.
